Understanding the Support Offered

A gentle clarification of the care, guidance, and relationship-centered support offered through Bébé Metanoia Birthing Services.

Care Rooted in Presence & Trust

Bébé Metanoia Birthing Services offers emotional, educational, traditional, prenatal, birth, and postpartum support designed to help families feel informed, grounded, and supported throughout the transition into parenthood.

The care offered is rooted in presence, informed choice, compassionate guidance, and continuity of support throughout pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, and early family life. Every family’s journey is approached with respect, emotional care, and individualized support based on their unique needs, preferences, and birth intentions.

Collaborative & Individualized Care

Traditional Birth Attendant care is flexible and individualized. Depending on your preferences and circumstances, support may be provided alongside your existing care team, which may include:

  • Registered Midwives
  • Family Physicians
  • Obstetricians
  • Hospital Birth Teams
  • Other complementary or wellness practitioners

Every family's journey is unique. Some families choose to give birth in a hospital, while others choose a home birth or another birth setting that reflects their values, preferences, and circumstances. Our  role is to provide consistent, relationship-centered support regardless of where or how your baby is welcomed into the world.

Throughout your journey, Bebe Metanoia offers emotional support, education, respectful observation, traditional comfort measures, practical guidance, and continuity of care within the scope of Traditional Birth Attendant practice.

Should circumstances arise that require medical assessment or treatment, we may suggest a consultation with the appropriate healthcare provider while still continuing to offer compassionate support.

Understanding Traditional Birth Attendant Support

Traditional Birth Attendant support is rooted in historical and traditional birthkeeping practices that emphasize emotional presence, continuity of care, holistic guidance, informed choice, and personalized support throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

This support may include traditional birth education, emotional guidance, comfort measures, postpartum care, and ongoing relationship-centered support for families seeking a more traditional approach to birth care.

Every family’s choices and circumstances are approached with compassion, respect, and thoughtful consideration.

Personalized Care Pathways

Families seeking traditional birth attendant support may choose different approaches to pregnancy and birth care depending on their personal preferences, comfort level, philosophy, and circumstances.

Some families may continue receiving care alongside:

  • obstetricians
  • midwives
  • physicians
  • hospital care teams
  • additional wellness practitioners

Others may prefer a more traditional and individualized support pathway centered primarily around relationship-based care and continuity of support throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

Every family’s decisions are approached with respect, informed discussion, and compassionate support without judgment or pressure.

Understanding the Nature of Support

Bébé Metanoia Birthing Services provides continuous, non-medical support within the scope of Traditional Birth Attendant care, Bébé Metanoia does not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medications, administer injections or vaccinations, or perform surgery or clinical procedures.
