A Few Questions Families Often Ask

A gentle space for some of the questions families commonly ask while exploring support throughout pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and early parenthood.

Care & Support

What types of support do you offer?

Bébé Metanoia offers prenatal support, birth doula support, postpartum care, traditional birth attendant support pathways, emotional guidance, relationship-centered care, and restorative postpartum offerings designed to support families throughout the transition into parenthood.

Is support only available for home birth?

No. Families may choose hospital birth, home birth, birth center care, or more individualized support pathways depending on their preferences and circumstances.

Support may be offered alongside obstetricians, midwives, physicians, hospital teams, or other wellness professionals depending on each family’s chosen approach to care.

Do you replace medical care?

No.
Support is offered as complementary care and is not intended to replace licensed medical providers, emergency services, prenatal physicians, or hospital-based care.

Offerings may include traditional comfort measures, emotional grounding, physical support, rest-centered guidance, and natural wellness practices that have historically been used during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery.

Families are encouraged to maintain appropriate medical care and make informed decisions that align with their personal needs and circumstances.

Family & Partner Support

Are partners included in support sessions?

Yes. Partners are welcomed and encouraged to participate throughout prenatal preparation, birth discussions, postpartum planning, and emotional support whenever desired.

The transition into parenthood affects the entire family, and support is approached with care for both mothers and their partners.

Do you attend hospital births?

Support pathways may vary depending on each family’s preferences, birth plans, location, and chosen care providers.

This can be discussed more fully during the consultation process to determine what type of support feels most aligned for your journey.
